About

The Coalition of Community Organizations (COCO) originated in 2008 through the work of dedicated members from several community organizations, and residents in Houston and surrounding areas. These groups began working together to make sure that community interests are represented at the city, state, and national levels, and that elected officials, corporations, businesses, law enforcement, and clergy have a vested interest in our communities.

Our Programs and Services

COCO is a member and is a Regional Hub for the National Black Environmental Justice Network (NBEJN). NBEJN is fiscally sponsored by The Deep South Center for Environmental Justice (DSCEJ).

COCO’s mission is to help facilitate the flow of information in order to educate, empower, and enhance the lives of individuals and families.
The Harris County Community Air Monitoring Program (CAMP) is designed to do a number of things. With your assisted advocacy, we can accomplish much for the citizens of this great city.
